We're back!

We've been at church camp all last week, so that is why there haven't been any postings. We are home now after a wonderful week of friends and fellowship. I am including some pictures from our outing to the Enchanted Springs Ranch in Boerne, TX. It was so much fun!! It is a replica of a western town from the early 1800's. Anyway, things are moving along out at the house. We are about 2 weeks from closing. The carpet is going in today and the water heater and electric meter should be all set up today, as well. Appliances go in on Wednesday and the cleaning crew will be out on Friday and Saturday. I will have some gorgeous pictures then for sure!! The hardwood floors are done, they are pretty, but it is so hard to tell with all the dust and grime that is all over them, so I will wait until they are cleaned up to show you!










Day 145 -
Part of the driveway is done. That is a lot of concrete!! And, we're not done!

The new light fixture showed up today without incident. The lighting company didn't want to ship the fixture next day air because they "always break." It's here in one piece!
Day 135 -





The master shower is finally done. This picture doesn't do it any justice. I'll try to do better!

The little things.

We are nearing the end! There are a million little things to finish. The replacement faucets were installed today. Grouting of the tile was finished. Marco, the head tile guy, is chomping at the bit to get the wood and carpet floors done. Brandon wants him to wait until the plumbers and electricians are done. The rest of the light fixtures arrived today and will be installed on Thursday. I enclosed a picture of one of the fixtures, it had a fork lift drive right through it! We will have our final electric inspection done on Thursday, then we will actually have power when you flip the switches! Sounds silly, doesn't it?

Things are moving along!

We are about 4-5 weeks from closing!! Time to get this house on the market, and fast! Before we miss the best selling time in Austin!!! Feeling a little pressure now!
The tile is coming along beautifully. Just a few backsplashes to go. WE HAVE TOILETS!!! You have no idea how exciting this is! Every evening when we are at the house, notoriously, Corinne has to go to the bathroom. Did I mention "every time we are there?" We have a little portable kid potty in the car, but it is still a pain to stop what you are doing, go out to the car, set it up, wait for her to finish, clean up and head back in. Did I mention that the temperature here has been over 100 for almost 2 months? UGH! Toilets are an exciting thing in the Smith household! The faucets also started going in today, and coincidentally, all the bathroom faucets were scratched! Isn't that crazy? So, they are all going back in the am. The door knobs are all on now. The cabinet hardware is on now too. Started light fixtures today too. Been a busy day, but it sure is starting to look like a home.
Day 128 -
A few light fixtures
The balcony railing went in today too! They broke a tile there in the middle, but it will get fixed tomorrow.
Can't wait to sit under this and watch the golfers and the kids play!
The is the gorgeous tile work in the guest bath and shower. The floor is done with leftover tile from the rest of the house. Marco came up with this design. I took these this morning, before the toilet went in. ha,ha! (The shower still needs grouted.)

Granite is going in...

The granite has made an appearance! We have most all of it in, just missing some in the kitchen and the outdoor kitchen. It looks really nice!
Day 121 -
