Sitting on Papa's lap waiting for the parade to start.
At the clubhouse for dinner.
Sparkler fun!!
The firework show that Papa and his friend put on for Saturday night.
Corinne riding her scooter in front of Nana and Papa's newly landscaped yard.
Of course, a golf cart ride...even if it was raining!
When we left my parents house at 7 am, it had been raining, and a few miles down I70, we saw this beautiful complete rainbow. (Not sure why the photographer, Lee, couldn't turn the camera the other way and take a picture of the entire thing..?)
On our way back, we stopped in Denton, Texas to pick up a beautiful "wife" for Bentley. I have been talking with the breeder for about 9 months. She and her puppy sister were returned to the breeder as their elderly, new parents couldn't handle 2 springer puppies at the same time. So, their deal was, to breed them, sell the puppies and then sell the Momma's. The breeder has about 6 dams and 2 sires that he uses. So, Ms. Kinsley gave birth to 10 absolutely adorable pups in May! They are 8 weeks old now, she weaned them a few weeks ago, so she was ready to go! All but 2 of her puppies has a new mommy and daddy. It won't take long for them to go also. When crazy Bentley saw her, he went NUTS!!! For those of you who know Bentley, you are not surprised. He acts like, "she is MINE!!! ALL MINE!!" They get along great, they play and wrestle, take toys away from each other and chase all over that huge backyard! We could not have asked for a sweeter dog. One of my girlfriends said the other day, "if you had had her first, you wouldn't have felt the need to get another one." She is so right! But, they are wonderful together and Bentley now has someone else to occupy his time with during the day other than me! So, in case you were wondering, she is a "wife" to Bentley because they are going to have puppies some day, and Corinne stated that you have to be married to have babies. Well, she is right! We must have a wedding!! :)
