The beams are here!!

This house is starting to take it's shape! We still can't believe how fast everything is going. Over the past few days lots of clean up is happening, started some trim paint, and the most exciting thing...the Alder beams are going up! They are going to be gorgeous! They are in the ceiling of the kitchen and dining room. They are solid 8x10 timbers, they must weigh a ton! As you will see in the pictures, it takes 4-5 men to lift them.
Day 35 -
Here is the front, that large picture window will be in front of the main stair case.

There will be 2 more that go up tomorrow and then they will eventually be stained to coordinate with the cabinetry.
